I’m the Managing Director of the DEIM Research Institute and a Research Associate at the University of Oxford. Prior, I served as Senior IT Partner for Equity Finance and Strategic Development at Siemens Financial Services. Before Siemens AG, I worked as a Management Consultant with several Fortune 500 companies, advising on finance, risk management, and digital transformation. I was educated in Germany, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom and hold a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Sciences, with a focus on AI in finance, and an MSc in Quantitative Finance from the University of Strathclyde, as well as an MSc in Software Engineering from the University of Oxford. My research focuses on artificial intelligence, business analytics, digital ecosystems, and financial economics.
